Happy Holidays!!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to you and yours!!  Thanks to all of the families who visited me this year!  I've met some wonderful new friends, and enjoyed seeing returning friends!  I hope you enjoy the photos that I captured for you in 2012.  Rest assured that I'm always working on my craft, and only hope to improve and grow in 2013!

I had the pleasure of photographing Diana and her handsome men in her beautiful home, which was decorated to the T for the holidays.  Mr. Jax was quite the flirt, and I have to say that I was quite the sucker for those warm brown eyes and that winning grin of his.  Such a sweet and adorable family!!

Brigette and Family - Part II

Brigette and the kiddos were back for more this morning to show off some more beautiful smiles and gorgeous holiday outfits.  With the promise of indian headdresses and green candy, the kids were all smiles for their 2nd photo session.  I was also excited to photograph Shelley, Brian and their two gorgeous babies.  Baby Tristan was such a sleeping angel, and big sister Fields had way too much fun dumping leaves on her daddy's head.  Brigette, I hope everyone enjoys the preview!

Brigette and Family - Part I

Everytime I've photographed Brigette and her family it's always been more like hanging out at a party with friends, rather than photographing a large family of adults, kids and babies.  This photo session was no exception.  We had dogs, leaves, sunglasses, and Batman masks....what more could you ask for??

Crystal M

I've lost track of how many times Crystal and her family have met me for a photo session, but this was by far my favorite!  Crystal and Elle looked beautiful in their purple dresses, and the guys were a perfect compliment with their fall sweaters!  Little Gabe and Eleanor were total hams for our hour long photo session, and Crystal and Carl are always so laid back and up for whatever road I might take them on.

Lisa and Tony, and their 3 little cuties met me at the park this morning ready to flash their sweet smiles for a fun family session.  Emma, Noah and Ethan couldn't have been more cooperative, and the photo session went off without a hitch!  Lisa looked lovely as always, and Tony was totally prepared for a solo session!

Case Cutt....

I almost feared that this photo session might not happen, but after some last minute outfit and location changes, this photogenic bunch was ready to roll.  Everyone was having a great time and so relaxed.  The only thing that would've made this photo session more special, is if the mullet and guitar would have made an appearance (inside joke)! 
Kristin and Casey, thanks for allowing me to photograph your crew!  And Casey, thanks for not busting out in an a cappella version of "DoodleBug".  Enjoy your sneak!

Sweet Matilda...

Our favorite girls clothing line is Matilda Jane....I love how the clothes are all so comfortable and feminine.  There's no sequins, no peace signs on the booty and no off the shoulder tops.  Just innocent and timeless outfits designed with innocent playful little girls in mind.  Last night I was thrilled to receive a message from our sweet trunkkeeper letting me know that photos of my very own playful little girl had made it onto the Matilda Jane blog.  I think I was actually more excited that they thought my photography was good enough to make it to their blog. Afterall, I  already knew that my girl was beautiful, but sometimes it's nice to get a little validation on a hobby that I've been working on trying to craft for so long......

Remember what I said about toddlers and working fast last week??  Well, I had another little toddler keep me on my toes this weekend.  This spunky little amost 2 year old girl kept her Daddy, Mama, Grandma, Big Brother AND photographer all dancing, singing and making up stories about dogs to try to capture her attention!  I'm not sure who won, but we all walked away sweaty and out of breath from that photo session!
All jokes aside, it's always a pleasure seeing Charlie and her awesome family!  I have really enjoyed watching Tyler grow from a little toddler to a very responsible big brother.  And I've loved seeing Dylan grow from a bun in her Mommy's tummy to a feisty little toddler!  I can't wait to see how much they will have changed by next Fall!!

When photographing toddlers, it's much like playing a game of beat the clock.  You have to move fast and work fast!!  Little Owen was no exception to that rule.  He wanted to explore, and run and he wasn't all that interested in having his picture taken.  But even with all of the distractions of ducks, bumblebees and rude photographers, I managed to move fast and work fast and get some sweet photos of this sweet family.

Bubbles, Bridges and  Big climbing trees.....that's what 4 year old Gabe's photo session consisted of.  What can I say about Gabe?  Not too many years ago, this boy was not a fan of having his picture taken, but oh what a difference the years can make!  Gabe was so happy to oblige me in whatever was asked of him in our one hour photo session.  This cute little baby boy is turning into a handsome young man, and I always enjoy hearing what he has to say!

Crystal, thank you for always coming back to me, again and again!  I'm looking forward to the family session in November!

Back to School!

The summer seemed to fly by, and it's now time to send my little chicks back to school.  How can it be that this little girl of mine is going into the first grade??  I know that I say this quite frequently, but it really does seem like yesterday that I was snuggling her in my arms for the first time.......sigh.......
